Meet The Team (Wayne & Sons)
About Wayne
For graphic designer and photographer Wayne M. White, his passion has been all things automotive for as long as he can remember.
In 2012, Wayne started RaceCarDriverPosters.com to share that passion with fellow enthusiasts, displaying custom-designed posters using the photos he captured at BBORR & SORC. In 2018, Wayne became the Official Event Photographer of the SSCC and NORC races in Ely, Nevada as well. Today, he is the Official Event Photographer of all five Open Road Races.
After 12 years of photographing races, Wayne was finally able to race in one of them. Wayne and Spencer towed his 2018 BMW M4 to Texas. In April of 2024 Wayne competed in the Big Bend Open Road Race, he placed 10th out of the 25 fellow racers in his 110 mph class and 57th out of 137 racers. While Wayne raced, his sons Spencer and Jakob took control of the photography operation. Thus starting a new chapter where Wayne competes in the races and his sons photograph them.
To better reflect his focus on open road racing, RaceCarDriverPosters.com is now OpenRoadRacingPhotos.com. At every Open Road event, drivers have the opportunity to order a custom-designed poster showcasing what they love to do (and their cars do best): race down the open road.
Wayne is the Official Event Photographer and poster designer for these events:
- Big Bend Open Road Race (BBORR) – Fort Stockton, Texas | April
- Nevada Open Road Challenge (NORC) – Ely, Nevada | May
- Sandhills Open Road Challenge (SORC) – Arnold, Nebraska | August
- Silver State Classic Challenge (SSCC) – Ely, Nevada | September
- Big Bend Open Road Race (BBORR 2.0) – Fort Stockton, Texas | October

About Spencer
Spencer has been helping his dad Wayne over the last 10 years at various races. Spencer loves cars just as much as his Dad and recently started working for Studio 2108 full time. Spencer is mastering Photoshop and teaching Wayne a few new tricks.
While in school, Spencer would travel with Wayne to Nevada, Nebraska and Texas to help photograph the Open Road Races, if his schedule permitted him to. Spencer takes after his dad, with an extreme love of all things cars, one might argue that he is a larger car guy than his dad. He loves to go to the races and loves experimenting with new and different camera techniques to get new and exciting shots of the cars as they race by.
When Spencer got a call from Wayne in 2020 that he was flying to Arizona to purchase a 2018 BMW M4, he hopped on the flight with his dad to be there when he took delivery. Even though it was not Wayne’s first BMW, it was Wayne’s first time driving an M4. However, Spencer had plenty of experience driving a BMW M4, mainly due to a friend from high school buying one 3 years prior. Spencer realized that he had to teach the old dog some new tricks, tricks that he had picked up from driving a similar year M4. After teaching his dad the ins and outs of the car, they began their voyage back to St. Louis. And while driving back, Spencer set a top speed in the BMW that took many years for Wayne to beat. The BMW M4 strengthened the bond between the two and is just one story among countless others, about the two’s shared love for all things cars.
Spencer was recently tasked with creating a wrap for one of Studio 2108 clients Baja racing trucks. He was excited about this opportunity and jumped into action, creating more than 20 different variations. “Being able to see the truck that I designed race through the desert was a surreal experience, even though I watched it on my computer, it was amazing to see something that I had worked so hard on come to life.”
“Being there with my dad when he picked up his BMW M4 is something I will never forget, the smile on his face and his pure excitement was contagious. The entire trip, from Arizona to St. Louis, he had a smile from ear-to-ear. I realized it wasn’t just a car to him, it was him achieving a life-long goal. I am so happy that I was able to be there to experience this key moment in his life and that I had the opportunity to bond and make new lasting memories with my dad.” – Spencer

About Jakob
Jakob is a huge motorsports enthusiast, enjoying the wide variety of racing there is, but primarily endurance racing and Indycar. Over the years he’s become quite the photographer. He started joining his dad at various races over the past couple of years, going to SORC in Nebraska, and SSCC in Nevada, but primarily BBORR in Texas. Back in 2023, Jakob and his dad went to “Super Sebring,” where they got to see multiple races, including IMSA’s 12 Hours of Sebring and WEC’s 1000 miles of Sebring. This gave Jakob some good time to practice taking photos in all different ways and lighting.
Like the rest of the family, Jakob has a huge passion for cars, taking after his brother Spencer and dad, and also the Disney CARS movies. From the start, he started with hot wheels, moving on to remote control cars. He eventually would pick up sim racing as a hobby, and at a young age he had almost instant success. Even at the age of 13, he set the fourth fastest lap time in the world in one of the F1 games. Later on at 15, he would get more serious, winning an esports championship. Around this age too, he earned himself a spotlight on the popular Sim Racing Youtube channel Veloce eSports and was selected for having the “best overtake of the week”. Which earned him a Fanatec McLaren GT-3 Racing Wheel. You can watch the video of his overtake below. And at the age of 16, he’s won the Iracing 24 Hours of Daytona, finished second in the Iracing 12 Hours of Sebring, and more.
